Things are getting a bit crazy over the smartphone industry with the eventual release of 1080p HD displays and it’s no wonder that various phone makers all want a slice of the promising high-end market pie. HTC was the first in the market to release 1080p handset with the J Butterfly, followed by the Droid DNA and soon the Deluxe.
Apparently, it won’t be long before LG releases its own 1080p model and new benchmark results reveal the existence of a device that’s previously unheard of, called the LG F240K. It is widely believed that the device will also have 5” display, perhaps along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. The F240K should run Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), so you don’t have to worry about getting stuck with the somewhat outdated Ice Cream Sandwich.
We should keep in mind that GLBenchmark is not an official source of leak, but this is a relatively good start. Major phone makers are getting prepared for the increasingly more competitive market in 2013 and the F240K would allow LG to, at least maintain its share in the market.
