HTC Officially Announces the One E8 in China

The HTC One E8 has recently popped up on the company’s official website in China. Although without an actual launch event, this is pretty much makes the phone official. The E8 is actually a slight modification of the original One M8 design and there is a possibility that it is the much-rumored Ace model.

The phone is introduced in Chinese and we could tell that the E8 is slightly more powerful with its 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor. As comparison, the baseline One M8 came with 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core CPU. It comes with an UltraPixel-less 13Mp rear-facing camera, 5Mp front-facing camera and support for 4G LTE data network. The E8 also boasts a couple of BoomSound speakers on the front, which make it a decent multimedia device.

HTC only provides relatively limited details on the E8 and it appears that the phone comes with plastic chassis, not metal one. It is also said that the E8 is equipped with 4.7-inch Full HD display and that’s probably everything we know about the phone so far. We can’t be sure whether there will be a launch outside Asian market, or even outside China itself.
