We heard about the HTC A55 last month, but this may not be the new Desire model. Instead, it could be the HTC One E9, according to upleaks. The phone could be available as soon as late March in China and it will measure 5.5-inch with Quad HD resolution.
However, it won’t be a typical high-end model, since the One E9 will be equipped with 2GHz MediaTek MT6795 octa-core processor with 64-bit capability, instead of Snapdragon 8xx SoC. There will also be the Sense 7.0 UI with Android 5.0 Lollipop underneath. Other features are 32GB of onboard storage, 3GB of RAM, 4Mp UltraPixel front-facing camera, 20Mp rear-facing camera and BoomSound speakers.
It is believed that the HTC One E9 will be sold in three color options, brown gold, metallic gray and white rose gold. While the initial launch will be in China, it is not yet known whether the Taiwan-based company will have a plan to launch the phone around the world. Overall, the One E9 can’t be considered as a flagship-grade product, due to its Desire naming and MediaTek-based solution. Even so, it should still be an interesting model for people who are looking for high-resolution display.
