LG Viper 4G LTE Gets a Software Update

LG releases a software update for the LG Viper 4G LTE, but it isn’t the time for the big celebration yet. Unfortunately, this isn’t the Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) update many have been waiting for. Instead, it should be considered only as a maintenance update, which delivers improvement on the LTE connectivity performance.

With the update, the phone can discover and connect to a 4G network faster. Not only users get improved data connection, they can also enjoy an improved battery life. The phone is exclusive for Sprint subscribers and released last April. Interestingly, Sprint had no 4G network up and running at the time and the service was only available a few months later at summer 2012.

It isn’t known when or whether Sprint will release the Jelly Bean update for the Viper 4G LTE. But as it’s already nearing a full year since the official release, users shouldn’t be holding their breath for one.
