Motorola is preparing smartphones with edge-to-edge display, which takes full advantage of the front-side of the handset. However, the company doesn’t specify which models will feature this design, but it is speculated that the phone would be Motorola Droid RAZR HD. With the 4.6” HD display, the phone can play 720p videos flawlessly. Sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, the phone will have a 2530mAh battery and Kevlar back. It’s also expected to boast 8Mp rear-facing camera and 4G (LTE) support. The device is targeted for high-end consumers and may use Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
The fact that the phone seems to have standard hardware configurations, the edge-to-edge display is obviously a main selling point. Verizon and Motorola have distributed invitations for an event scheduled on September 5th and this could be the unveiling an innovative bezel-less smartphone.
Another phone, the Motorola RAZR M 4G LTE will be launched alongside the Droid RAZR HD and it may also feature the same display design.
