Samsung Focus Flash Review

Samsung Focus FlashPacking a 3.7” Super-AMOLED display, 1.4GHz Snapdragon processor and Mango, the Samsung Focus Flash looks rather unassuming in this Windows Phone 8 era. Even with its plastic-dominated body, the Samsung Focus Flash surprisingly feels nice in out hands. The Adreno 205 GPU won’t do much to help the Focus Flash keeps pace with the likes of HTC 8X and Nokia Lumia 920.

Nevertheless, Mango is a well-optimized platform and it should run without a hiccup.  The 1500mAh battery can be a huge let-down and it should help the phone to survive a busy day.  The 5Mp shooter on the rear is nothing special, but it still delivers passable stills for occasional shots. Colors are surprisingly vivid and the contrast is cranked up properly when the camera is used in broad daylight.

Video quality is nothing to write home about and the 720p clips produced look a bit noisy. With its mediocre hardware specs, the Samsung Focus Flash won’t be draw attention from technophiles, but the phone still excels for typical social networking and web browsing tasks.
