Samsung Will Release Android 4.1.2 Update to Four Smartphone and Two Tablet Models

Samsung Android Update

Samsung continues to reveal its software update schedule for current Android-powered Galaxy smartphones. This time, Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note will be getting the Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) update in March, followed by Galaxy S Advance and Ace 2 in April. This information came from Samsung’s official website in Ukraine.

The update schedule is likely intended for unlocked devices, while for those owning carrier-issued units may need to wait a little longer. Other than these smartphones, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Tab 7.0 Plus will also be bumped up to Android 4.1.2. The update will coincide with the release of Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus, which is shipped with Jelly Bean (Android 4.1.2) OS out of the box.

It’s essentially a repacked version of the original S2 with identical specs, but much improved software. These specs include ARM Cortex A9 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 2Mp front-facing camera and 8Mp rear-facing camera.
