HTC Could Be Working on A WP8 Smartphone That Resembles HTC One

HTC Windows SmartphoneOnline sources recently reported that the Taiwanese phone maker, HTC, is working on a Windows Phone 8 smartphone that strongly resembles the HTC One in terms of visual appearance. It is said to arrive with a display size, measuring roughly between 4” and 5”. Other enhancements may include Beats Audio technology and a mostly aluminum chassis.

Sources also indicated that the new phone will feature HTC’s innovative camera-based enhancement, the UltraPixel, which is currently found on its current Android-based flagships. HTC uses only a 4Mp camera on the HTC One, but with sensor size larger than we typically find in high-end devices. Microsoft is expected to introduce the GDR3 update with support for quad-core processor.

Last year, we heard rumors about the HTC Zenith, which was supposed to compete with Nokia’s Lumia 920 smartphone. The Zenith was said to offer 4.7” display, Windows Phone 8 OS and quad-core processor. The plan to release this device was shelved for an unknown reason, but more likely because Windows Phone 8 hasn’t included support for quad-core SoC.
