LG Optimus Vu May Arrive On The United States On September

LG Optimus Vu

LG is planning to release the 5″ phablet, the Optimus VU, in the United States. The device has moderate success in the South Korea with half a million units sold. Its sales weren’t as high as other phablet models in the market, but they appear to be enough to warrant release in other countries nonetheless.

We still don’t know exactly when the phablet is ready for release in the United States, but rumors say that the South Korean company is planning to have it out by the end of September. Also currently unknown is which carrier chooses to launch the Optimus VU, but there’s still enough information to make an educated guess.

Recent FCC documentation points toward a release on Verizon’s network, but there’s no confirmation from either LG or Verizon.

The Optimus VU was unveiled at Mobile World Congress back in February and the phablet comes with a huge 5″ display and 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 dual core processor.
