We normally see prices of devices with high-end components drop pretty quickly. There was a time when phones with a 1GHz single-core processor were considered the big thing. Now, quad-core processors are new beasts in the industry, but we are now starting to see budget devices with this powerful component.
The ZTE U950 boasts some impressive specs for its affordable price. The budget-friendly Android smartphone is powered by a 1,3GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor and for the time being, it will be released in China. Priced at only $160 or 999 Yuan, the U950 is certainly highly impressive. Many would hope that the U950 will also be released in other regions and it would arrive to users in China at November 15th.
ZTE allows 100,000 first customers to preorder the U950 online and the quota will likely be expended in a very short time. Other components include 4.3” display, 1GB of RAM, 5Mp rear-facing camera, 0.3Mp (VGA) front-facing shooter, 4GB of internal storage, 2000mAh battery and Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) OS.
