The Oppo R5 is a slim smartphone, so slim that it nearly becomes the thinnest model in the market. It is finally available for pre-order with initial availability in the United Kingdom. The phone is sold through Amazon UK for £296.99 or about $452. Buyers could get the phone on February 20th and early adopters will also obtain the VOOC power bank with fast charging feature. The portable charge could charge the phone up to 75 percent in only 30 minutes. It should hold enough juice to full charge the phone twice.
The Oppo R5 is powered with the reasonably capable 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and 2GB of RAM. The performance level should be solid, albeit slightly slower when running very demanding apps and games. However, the phone is definitely a head-turning. Unfortunately, the Oppo R5 has no standard headphone jack and smaller battery capacity due to its slim design. At 4.85mm thin, the Oppo R5 is definitely much thinner than other upper mid-range devices in the market.
