Among Pantech’s many devices, the Element and Burst are the lucky two. It appears that the Android 4.0.4 update has gone live for these devices. This is a good thing to hear as Pantech is a minor player in the industry with a relatively limited market segment. Both devices were released after the official release of ICS, so we might say that the update was about time.
Users may not get the latest Android OS available in the market, but they will still get significantly enhanced functionality, fluidity and performance. Both devices will get new features such as Face Unlock, which improves both security and user experience.
Pantech Burst is an entry level 4G device that is currently available in AT&T’s network, but don’t mistake it to be an ordinary low-end handset. The Burst is powered by the 1,5GHz Snapdragon S3 dual-core processor and Adreno 220 GPU. The Element is a tablet with 8.9” display, a newer 1.5GHz Snapdragon S3 dual-core (APQ8060) processor and 1GB of RAM.
